Positive Community Kitchen is first an education project. One of the critical tasks of the teen years is identifying the skills that help us to make a difference, experience belonging and finding meaningful work. Yet there are precious few opportunities for teens to contribute and participate in ways that allow them to grow and naturally discover their gifts and ways of belonging.
Through PCK, teens (and adults) experience their importance in the world, take on meaningful levels of responsibility, learn how to work as part of a team, develop self-confidence and compassion, discover the joy of giving to others, and learn about the healing power of food from compost to table
