Positive Community Kitchen provides beautiful, delicious, and nourishing meals to people in our community members experiencing a health crisis due to a life-threatening illness such as cancer.
When you’re facing a serious illness, being well-nourished is very important. These meals are designed to support you when your health and appetite are compromised.
Eating enough healthy food when you are ill can help:
Reduce time spent in the hospital
Increase the effectiveness of medications
Improve overall quality of life
Thanks to the many volunteers and donors, these meals are free of charge and delivered directly to homes in the Eugene/Springfield area and beyond.
Please contact the Program Coordinator for Client Services to learn if PCK is a good fit for you or your loved one. If you reach the voicemailbox, please leave a message & know your call will be returned by the following Wednesday. Note there is often a 2-3 week waitlist to match your delivery address to a delivery angel & to begin the 12 week service. When you leave a message you are expediting that queue!

Once you become a client, one of Client Liaison volunteers will call to schedule an in-person meeting so that you understand the full range of services that we offer.
Your Client Liaison will remain in contact with you on a regular basis while you are receiving meals to insure that the meals we send are as nourishing as possible.
Food is the heart of Positive Community Kitchen’s mission. We believe that food is an important source to help in healing and the foundation to long term health and well-being.
The link between diet and health is now undeniable, and many studies have shown how cancer patients eat during treatment can both reduce side effects and increase treatment effectiveness. At least as important is the power of food to help us feel nourished and cared for.
In the kitchen, teens & adults prepare food that is beautiful, delicious, and nutrient-dense.
The meals we provide are designed around the latest understanding of how diet supports our health. Positive Community Kitchen follows the American Institute of Cancer Research’s recommendation that 2/3 of your diet be plant based. On top of that, the menu is focused on foods that are whole (rather than processed) organic and locally grown. All of the poultry, eggs, dairy, grains, beans, soy products and at least 90 percent of our produce is organically grown. We make all of our sauces and salad dressings from scratch.
