We know that young people are the seed of our future. PCK provides local
teens with the opportunities and skills to develop an abiding trust in their own
abilities to shape a healthier tomorrow.
Whole food, plant based diets are nourishing, healthy and delicious. Replacing processed foods has been shown to make a significant impact on the healing process of people facing life-threatening illness. The PCK diet is based on years of research on the preparation of foods as healing medicine.
We are curative when we integrate every aspect of our work, relationships and intentions with our hearts. Creating community with our full attention connects us deeply and rewards us with life’s true gifts: gratitude, abundance, healing and love.
In the summer of 2013, a good-hearted woman of Eugene, Oregon, Wendy Strgar, heard about a program in Northern California, called Ceres Community Project. She was attracted to the program because of its focus on youth, community and positivity.
Knowing that a community project of this magnitude would need countless hours of dedicated volunteers to build, she gathered a group of willing founding board members, including Megan Wuest, Gary Gamer and Sherie Hawley, and together they founded Positive Community Cures which has since become our beloved Positive Community Kitchen.
